Miss Scubadelphia Advanced Training Grant

 The Miss Scubadelphia Advanced Training Grant was first thought up in 2020 by our founder Janine E. Rajauski, MS OTR/L, ARTIC. After receiving her own advanced training grant from Beneath the Sea in 2019, Janine wanted to find a way to give back to the dive community that has given so much to her. This is her way. The Miss Scubadelphia Advanced Training Grant is awarded annually to a woman in the local dive community who wishes to expand her diving knowledge by taking an advanced course. The Grant is priced at $750 USD and can be used for an advanced class and a spot on the Ladies Dive Day Charter in Partnership with the Gypsy Blood Dive Boat. The remainder can be used towards another course, or a gear purchase at a dive shop selected by the foundation. Training must take place at the dive shop selected by the foundation within 18 months of receiving the grant. Funds paid directly to the dive shop.

The Application is open from October 1, 2022 to March 31, 2023. Applicants will be notified on May 1, 2022 if they are the recipients of the grant.

 To apply for this training grant, you must be:

• A certified female scuba diver
• 16 years old or older *Note: 16 and 17 year olds will need parent permission and to submit a parent or guardian signature as part of their application.* 
• In good health (PADI Medical form required prior to training)
• Able to complete the courses on location at the dive shop selected by the foundation in Philadelphia, PA.

*Note: You must be a certified SCUBA diver to apply for this grant. Two (2) Letters of Recommendation must also be submitted before the closing date of the application. If you are 16-18, parent signature does not count towards recommendations*

The Gypsy Blood Dive Boat is a premium dive charter based in Point Pleasant, NJ. They run all season long taking out new divers and seasoned divers to the many wreck sites up and down the Jersey Coast.
