The Stephanie DiBona Music Industry Grant
The Stephanie DiBona Music Industry Internship Grant is a $4,000-$6,000 internship fund awarded to a rising college junior or senior in Philadelphia, PA wishing to complete an internship in the music industry. The grant is awarded weekly to the participant for the duration of their summer internship. Funds for the award may be used for financial compensation of their internship requirements, transportation, rent and any other internship requirement.
The application will be opening March 2022. Award will be given for Summer 2022.
Who can apply?
To apply for the grant you must be:
- A college junior or senior
- Enrolled in a music industry major
- Be in good standing in your college program
- Living in the Philadelphia, PA area
Requirements for the Grant
Some requirements of the application process are:
- Completing the Google Form application
- Providing two (2) letters of recommendation
Requirements of the Awardee
- Weekly check in with NRFE and Melanie
- Weekly sign off by internship educator to demonstrate continued work during the internship program

About Stephanie DiBona
Stephanie DiBona was a beloved member of the Philadelphia music and theater community and a huge supporter of the arts. Throughout their life, Stephanie ran a record label committed to supporting non-men in the music scene, helped host dozens of house shows for their friends and strangers alike, and was a talented lighting designer for some of Philly’s favorite venues and theaters all while being an incredible musician. They are missed dearly and we are honored to name this grant after someone who was such a big supporter of young people and their passion for music.

Mel has spent the last few years working in marketing, artist management, and merchandising in addition to being on the road as a tour manager, VIP manager, production manager, and merchandise seller for events such as Riot Fest and the NFL Draft, as well as several cross-country runs for nationally touring artists.
